Child Maltreatment Advocacy: summary
Child maltreatment includes physical abuse, sexual abuse, emotional/ psychological abuse, and child neglect. By child, it is pertaining to people whose ages are below 18, or what is known as the “minors.”
Multiple cases for the past years, or even decades, has been filed and reported. Studies have shown that residence is the main location where most child abuse cases have occurred. Some got out, some got jailed and killed. Continuity of this issue signifies the lack of humanity on Earth and the injustice that is happening within the system.
Some studies have said that being abused may lead to a greater chance of being an abuser or a criminal one day but other reports have proven that it is still based on the environment they were exposed to and how they cope up.
On the contrary, parents, who were supposed to guide them, were said to be the largest percentage of abusers. They may seem intimidating but if you notice that something is wrong, cross the line between meddling and concern, it will be worth it. Be a part of the movement, the one to change the future of a child into a better one.
